I AM

In order to fully understand the words “I AM” we must let go of our past and of our future.  This in itself is very difficult to do, as every thought we create in our mind, pulls us away from this moment and into thinking.  When we attach our identity from the past or to the future self, we cannot connect to the knowledge that “WE ARE”. Nurturing

I was having a massage yesterday for the first time this year and as she began massaging the tight muscles in my leg, which was extremely painful, it made me question why I had left it so long and why I didn’t allow myself regular massages, to avoid pain or injury.

Are we a result of our inborn capabilities or rather of our effort to develop our potential and nurture ourselves? Why do some of us nurture and care for our mind, body and spirit and others cannot?

Healing the past

In light of my post yesterday on healing our emotional pain from the past, I wanted to share this video from Utube.

It reflects the emotional wounds that we hold and how that affects our future.  This brave boy took all of his courage and met with his Father, in the hope to create a different future for both of them.  Through forgiveness and compassion and an open heart, he changed a lifetime of sadness and pain.

Health and Healing

It is important for us to recognise and identify our thoughts and emotions, and to be aware of the impact they have—not only on each other, but on our bodies and our health.  We all know that a positive lifestyle can lead to good health and yet, when we suppress any negative childhood experiences or dismiss emotional pain from the past, we may forget the link this has with disease in our body.
