An interviewer headed out onto the streets in different parts of the world and asked the same question to the older generation.Β This is the question he asked.
“If you could give one piece of advice to the younger generation, what would it be?”
* Follow your dreams.
* Care for yourself and others.
* Slow down, there’s more to life than picking up speed.
* Look for peace within yourself and in the world, nothing else matters.
* Do what you want to do in life, don’t worry about what others think.
* Be honest with yourself and the work you do.
* Life is shorter than you think and the older you get, the faster it goes.
* Some days it will rain “Don’t worry about it” Some days it will shine “Don’t worry about it.”Β Life will always be changing.
* The best currency you can spend in life and receive so much more than you paid…is LOVE. Spend it.
Some good wisdom for today.
Perfection! Sending to my family. Thank you~
Wonderful. Thanks Cindy, spread the wisdom. π
I love this–and have seen it in the past but really need to tape on my bathroom mirror!
Great. It’s good to see it often so it sinks in. Thankyou.
He speaks wisdom. I used to be very stressed out over my job. But I learned that it was a choice. Funny thing isβ¦I didn’t have to change jobs to get out of the stressful situation. I just had to change the way I thought. PS I still plan to retire early!
So true! We often just have to change the way we see life and our situation. You can just retire in your mind while you wait!
Thankyou for your comment. π
This is spot on and I think the comment about health is the one that grabs me the most.
Thanks Elizabeth. Sometimes it’s not until we are sick that we start to question where we are going in life. These are wise words.
I was recently interviewed by two young women because I was considered “an elder” who might have interesting stories and such,
My last words to them were something in the order of, “Follow your dreams. Don’t let anyone stop you from doing what you truly want and love to do.” I only wish I’d had that encouragement when I was their age instead of being faced with all the negatives.
But I did learn that lesson for myself, and today I do my best to love, laught, and take wonderful pleasure in my life,
Thankyou for sharing this wonderful comment. Your words are wise and when we know more we can be more. Learning these lessons along the way before it’s too late, give us a chance to have a deeper more joyful experience throughout life. I’m glad you have this.

Your Welcome. Have a wonderful Day Diana π
love this quote . . . thank you for sharing it.
I do too. The Dalai Lama helps us see so simply what society lives for and how insane that is when we step back to see the truth. Thankyou.
What wonderful and sage advice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Vicki π
Karen this is one of my favourites from The D. Thanks for reminding me to live in the present. We forget sometimes we little humans.
Yes we do, and he has a very wise way to help us remember! π Thanks Kath.
