Each of us holds within the capacity for greatness. The difference between those who achieve greatness and those who do not, simply lies in our beliefs and in our courage.
When we feel inadequate or uncertain on our path, we sometimes believe we are safe by doing what we have always done when in fact, doing what we have always done is motivated by fear, not courage. Stepping out in courage is how we build our confidence and allow new paths to open up.
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” – Winston Churchill
Our lack of confidence comes from “trapped thinking.” These negative thoughts and beliefs bombard our mind and convince us that we cannot create the life we dream of. Trapped thinking always tells us, “We can’t” … because.
When we embrace a new practice in life, changing the way we have always thought and acted, we begin to connect to our inner power and courage.
Learning to recognise the obstacles we create with our thoughts, allows us to see how often we are sabotaging our journey. When we start to develop solutions through change and awareness, positive experiences will begin to happen in our life.
Write down your fears and why you feel blocked from stepping forward in courage.
Ask yourself, “Can I let go and trust in life and a bigger picture?” If not, why?
Create awareness each day and note when you are stepping out of your power and into negative thinking.
Write down how you could begin to practice letting go of these old beliefs and thoughts daily.
Writing down these ideas or simply speaking them out loud is one way to ignite change and direction. Overtime you will see how these changes will help forge you onto new paths and wonderful opportunities!
