I have posted this story before, but it is such a good reminder right now, to stay focused on our goals and to ignore the noise and the opinions of the world!
‘ A colony of frogs were hopping through the woods, when suddenly two of them fell into a deep pit.
All the other frogs gathered around the pit to see what happened! When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the unfortunate frogs they would never get out.
The two frogs ignored their comments and tried to jump up and out of the pit.
The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead and to give up.
Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and simply gave up. He fell down and died from exhaustion.
However, the other frog continued to jump as hard as he could and once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and suffering and just die.
He then made one big jump and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs asked him, “Why did you continue jumping. Didn’t you hear us?”
The frog explained to them that he was deaf and he thought they were encouraging him the entire time!’

This has me also thinking about how we need to respond from within because that’s what is applicable to us. Being deaf allowed the frog 🐸 to have this special attunement. 😌
