Infinite Possibilities

Give time, give space to sprout your potential. Awaken the beauty of your heart – the beauty of your spirit. There are infinite possibilities.

Amit Ray

In 2003 Donna Zmenak, a speech and language pathologist in Ontario, Canada, was diagnosed with cancer of the cervix.

The oncologist suggested that Zmenak immediately undergo radical surgery, removing her cervix and uterus followed by radiation.

She declined and said she didn’t want to live that way with her insides gutted. Instead, she felt a deep knowing, she would heal another way.

He told her she was making a stupid decision and discharged her from the hospital.

For a year Donna learned how to heal the way she wanted to with a doctor who specialised in nutrition and supplements, however, at the end of this period she was told the cancer had not only spread, but without surgery she would die in six months.

Even after this devastating news she said, ‘There was just something inside my heart that kept saying, ‘You can do this.’

And so, Donna embarked on another six months of healing, yoga and meditation and met with other cancer survivors. And it was in these spaces, she came to a deep acceptance, ‘Even if I die, my children will know me, the real me and who I am.’

At the end of these six months she knew the cancer had gone. Not only did she truly believe this, she also told the oncologist she would like to have another baby. He replied, ‘Not only will you never have another baby, you won’t live long enough to have another baby.’

A short while later, repeat biopsies and scans showed no trace in Donna’s uterus, abdomen, or lymph nodes, and nine months after that, she went on to have her fifth child naturally.

The oncologist did not want to know how she healed.

When we listen deeply, surrender, have faith, and follow the intuition of our body wisdom, and the signs of the universe; anything is possible.

  1. These are very powerful words Karen, and an amazing thing that I see them now. Spirit has been speaking to me about ‘medicine’ and how we are ever told this is the way…but only because ‘they’ say so. I have no doubts that they may have parts to play…but I also know we never give our bodies a chance.

In all the time I have had an allergic reaction to cortico steroids which is trashing my immune system, the urge to get off them is ever there. And because I have been on them so long many parts of my system are no longer working. So a very long slow release of the drug is giving better and better results until I almost feel human again…but…I have damaged so much inside that they no longer work, even under the schedule I have given myself.

Though having said that, I have experienced many things spiritually in going through this, even having died on my kitchen floor and experiencing an NDE trying to get off the steroid. That truly gave me an experience that would not be normally ‘touched’ in life, something that has so profoundly changed me.

But regardless, this life should be lived and not corrupted in the first place. It is interesting that more and more medicine are ‘created’ but less healed. How many times have I heard they have a cure for something, but never coming to fruition.

I’m currently eating, meditating, enjoying what I have. My body refuses any medication but the steroid I am stuck on…which is great. But maybe I just need to believe in myself a little more and step past ‘their’ line in the sand.

Thank you for sharing kind lady, may we find that inner love truly and heal beyond this world into that love beyond it 🤗🥰😀❤️🙏

    1. Thank you Mark for sharing about the challenging experiences you have faced and how you are now listening to your truth. It’s certainly not easy to do. To listen and trust the body’s wisdom and its ability to heal, requires deep patience and more importantly, trust. This is not something we have learned growing up, but it is absolutely possible to start doing where we are.

May you heal and grow from this space you are now in and continue to listen to the signs and wisdom your body and the universe give you.

      1. Thank you Karen, and indeed I shall ‘listen’ to what it speaks. Also thank you for the post, it too gives a courage to dare go beyond that line in the sand and go further in trusting us 😀❤️🙏

  2. A beautiful and powerful story about what is possible. Sadly, we don’t hear of these very often, even though I believe there are more like this. The forces that seek to control through a variety of means do everything possible to suppress these hopeful experiences. It doesn’t serve their bottom line.

Thank you for reminding us what is possible. 🙏🏻💜

    1. I agree Carrie it is so rare to hear these stories. And perhaps, we could say these possibilities are rare, not because of the system, as fear and control will always be present in life, but because we have lost the connection to our intuition, courage, truth and faith in these possibilities. 🧡🙏🏻

  3. A beautiful story and quote Karen. I do believe it’s so important to give ourselves the time and space we need to grow and when ill to get better. Sadly, we are not taught this. It’s interesting how when we go within and trust our Spirit how things seem to work out. you are so right that when we do this anything is possible. I’ve seen this in my own life.

    1. Yes I agree Michele. When we understand this gift of potential within each of us and learn to work with it, the possibilities are endless. Thank you 🧡🙏🏻

    1. I agree Carol. It takes patience and time to unravel such a rigid and wounded system. But when we learn how to do this for ourselves, it slowly ripples out into the world for change to happen. 🧡💕

  4. This is a powerful post, Karen. Science and knowledge have enriched our lives, and generally, I support them 100%, as I do not have the expertise or wisdom in such areas of life. But, as this post attests to, when “we listen deeply, surrender, have faith, and follow the intuition of our body wisdom, and the signs of the universe; anything is possible…” and this is the beauty of what is beyond our current knowledge. We shouldn’t unquestioningly believe in anything, but if we have a deep-seated faith and knowledge, then it is worth surrendering to and wanting to understand and learn the possibilities.

    1. I guess if it wasn’t for the few courageous women and men who have tested and challenged the system that we all grew up trusting in and believing in, then we would never know what is possible or what we are capable of! Thanks for being here Randall 😀
