Balance

“Just living isn’t enough,” said the butterfly, “One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.” – Hans Christian Anderson

Creating balance in my life is a priority.  I give out a lot to others in my work and I have learned many times over, if I am out of balance, so is the rest of my life.

Making myself a priority is essential, if I am to create balance within.  When I do not create boundaries in my life, I become fatigued, irritated and resentful.  These are always my signs to ‘stop’, ‘slow down’ and take time to nurture my body and energy.

Taking time to listen to what I need, creates space for me to let go and rejuvenate.  What is your body saying to you today?

I grow empty,

giving and giving.

I will not allow guilt to dissolve my boundaries.

Safe from expectations

I grow roots.

Wait for my fruits, friend.

Wait for my fullness.

Without do so, it’s like trying to drive a car that does not have an engine.
