Moving with change

For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone.  The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes.  To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction. – Cynthia Ocelli

In the midst of change, we don’t always have to over-analyze, work everything out, or even understand what this may mean for us.

Sometimes we just need to breathe, be still and let go into the uncertainty that change brings.

How we view this change is completely up to us.  We can either see it as complete destruction, or see it as growth.

  1. great post. I think it takes some people a few minutes …. to vent, release. Then I believe – I hope, we’ll all get on with the important tasks at hand. I do love this photograph, it is perfect for this post.

  2. Boy, did I need to hear this message this morning, Karen. Change is never easy, I know that, but some are certainly more disconcerting than others. And yet, as I gaze up at the spectacular blanket of stars scattered above my head, I am reminded that there are constants we can cling to and brought back to myself. Trying to find the positives in this moment…your messages are one of them. Thank you.

    1. Your not alone with those thoughts. I think when there is a shock, we need time to absorb the news and if we can spend sometime in nature like you, it does ground us and calm us. I am grateful for people like you Lori.

  3. Reblogged this on Jennifer's Journal and commented:
To give us perspective. Of note, Karen’s words from the comment section: “I think when there is a shock, we need time to absorb the news and if we can spend sometime in nature … it does ground us and calm us.”
That often works for me when I need to let go of anxiety.

  4. Oh, thank you. I have felt alone for a few days in seeing this as a necessary part of history. Not a pleasant one. But one that brings to light ugliness that is normally hidden. And it is only by bringing things to the light we have a chance to heal them. I truly believe this–and that humanity will choose to heal, not destroy.

    1. That is exactly how I feel too Kristine. We have to see the shadows within us, in order to heal. We are exactly where we need to be, and we all have a choice how we move through this situation. Have a great weekend. 🙂

    1. So many have felt this Helen. As we all adjust to this new change in the world, it’s good to know we are supported, loved and connected more than ever. Happy Super Moon too! I’m excited about the new energy coming through for us 🌛🌜🌝

      1. The blue mountains will be beautiful. We are having Christmas at our home with everyone and then off to Kingscliffe NSW for 10 days! Can’t wait, it’s been a busy year for us all. 🏊😎
