“The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.” – Mahatma Gandhi
In light of the dreadful hostage situation and deaths that occurred over the last twenty-four hours here in Sydney Australia, let us make a conscious effort in how we respond to each other around the world.
Although none of us have control over these circumstances and how they will end, if these tragedies urge us to love more, become more present and connect us to each other more, it will help bring us peace and make a difference.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”
RUMI
I will meet you there.
My thoughts and prayers are with those who are affected by this tragic event. ❤

Thanks Diana, a week before Christmas, many will need our prayers and love. 🙂
Yesterday I read of the plight of the hostages in Sydney. And last night I read about the people who were killed there. This morning I awakened to the news of the murder of so many children in Peshawar. These are not acts of war; they are acts of rage.
We are so badly in need of healing. I have read in many places about the beautiful Fabric that we are all part of. And, that when any one of us reacts with Love, that the Fabric is healed. Even those of us very far away can help by trying to live every moment in that field beyond wrongdoing and rightdoing.
So true MK many are in need of healing in regards to these tragic events. I love the analogy of the fabric of love and that is something we can all respond to. Thankyou.
Breaks my heart for the victims and families of this wretched crime. We must be strong and show the world we are a peace loving country. Looking after the underdog is who we are. We will be strong together. They cannot divide us.
Kath we are good at this in Australia, we have a beautiful country and beautiful people. These events help bring us together standing stronger. Thankyou.
Karen,
So sorry for the tragedy that took place in Sydney yesterday. And today in a Pakistani school, where 126 were killed in a terrorist attack. Unfortunately, until the hearts of men and women conform from tolerance to truth, I fear we are in for more of the same.
-Alan
Unfortunately I think you are right Alan, such a tragedy in Pakistan. There is no truth or love in these acts of violence. We must each be responsible for our part in making a difference. Thankyou.
It is difficult to make sense of the senseless, but I agree that we can stand as best we can in that field.
Yes I agree, Thankyou Eliza. 🙂
The quote by Gandhi rings full with truth. On the heals of this hostage situation, we had the horror of hundreds of children being killed in Pakistan. We must unite in love, love for all including those that committed these atrocities for their souls are lost. Thank you for sharing. I guess I did not realize you were in Sydney . . .my son did a semester of schooling there and is currently in Auckland at the U of A – he loves it down under! Wishing Sydney peace for healing.
Uniting in love is exactly what we can do amidst the situations we cannot control. You must come down under one year with your son and see the beautiful sights! Thankyou for your comment.
such beautiful thoughts here…thank you.
Thankyou Vicki. 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing MK 🙏🏻🌈💕
