The world is made of duality. Whatever you are presently experiencing, the potential for its opposite to arise is equally there. Neither is you. – Michael Jeffrey

John O’Donohue says that Absence is the sister of Presence, and when we reflect on all our experiences through life, we can see the gift and the need to experience duality within.
Light and darkness, beginning and ending, inside and outside, above and below, good and evil, masculine and feminine, divine and human.
Often we learn to live in one, more than the other, judging one better than the other, or we learn to separate the two.
However, the secret is not to do either, but rather, practice observing both within us.
And as we practice being the observer and the awareness of what arises in us each day, we will learn to see how often we are thinking thoughts or creating experiences, that are moving us away from the alignment of our truth and our freedom.
But at the same time, witness how these thoughts and feelings arise, and pass in each moment.
The more we become aware of this truth, the more we can focus on our power to change and create new ways of being.
We are indeed experiencing many things to teach ‘us’ a very profound path kind lady. And so much to ‘feel’ and understand those differences. This ‘real’ world, then the next. Great post Karen, may it open us into that very light. Thank you for sharing yours πβ€οΈπ
Thank you Mark πππ»

yes Karen, it is so true. In my case, I learned to observe, outside and inside. It happened in a very difficult time when nothing seemed to go the way i would have wished.
In the end, iβm thankful for it because it has taught me so much and it has given me a βnew lease of lifeβ i might not have had if it werenβt for that long, taxing period. Iβm a very happy person now and thankful for it, every single day. You have found the right words, as you do!
You have learned a great lesson Kiki and this makes all the difference. Thank you for sharing and being here π©·π€π§‘
Love this Karenβ£οΈWe must embrace both yin and yang if we are to grow in our whole being.

I think it’s the only way we can truly grow into who we are meant to be. Thank you, Karen.
I agree Michele. May we all find the courage to align with our truth. Thank you ππ
