And I found that I can do it, if I choose to.
I can stay awake and let the sorrows of the world tear me apart and then allow the joys to put me back together, different from before, but whole once again.

No matter how busy or overwhelming life can feel, I choose to surrender.
I choose to create still moments of self-reflection and rest.
I choose to turn my face to the sun, close my eyes and breathe in its warmth.
I choose to place my bare feet on the earth and the early morning frost, as I remember the oneness of life.
I choose deep listening and become aware of every movement and sound and feel the birdsong touch my heart.
I choose to feel the void, the pain, the fears, or the anger and allow it all to be here.
I choose to connect and feel the fullness of this moment and emerge whole again.
We will get there dear lady…and touch something beyond words. But in between those moments, someone keeps tempting me with chocolate π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
Stillness is far better for us than chocolate!! π but I still love chocolate too π
That it is dear lady…I have still some paths to ‘let go’ π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
We all do ππ»βΊοΈ

Beautiful post and thoughts, Karen. If there is something I’ve finally come to realize is coming back to yourself, in thought and surrendering is peaceful and a cathartic release. The opening quote you use is powerful, in that the sorrows of life will tear us apart, it is unavoidable, but it is also a process of life we have to embrace so we can then allow the joys to put us back together again. As you say, different than before but whole and stronger. Stillness allows this process to take place. This is a gem of a post, thank you π Wishing you well ~
I always appreciate your thoughts and comments Randall. Silence always teaches me so much about myself and a deeper understanding of life. Have a wonderful weekend. π
So much work to do here. So little time.
A moment of stillness can change our entire world. There is always time my friend. ππ»
Hmmmmmm

I love the quote. The power lies in the word, choice. It is easy to forget.
Yes so easy. Thanks Ali π€π§‘

So beautifully put Karen, love it and love doing it !
Thank you Ashley π€ππ»
Great Karen. As the Japanese say: “Take an emergency leisurely.” Panic and frantic behavior helps no one.

Great quote Alan. I agree. To become the observer of life has been my greatest gift. ππ»

I am really feeling this βI choose to feel the void, the pain, the fears, or the anger and allow it all to be here.β Allowing it to be here is really the work and the gift.
