In its own Time

The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.

We must understand that we can only lose by taking the offensive.

Patience and time are my warriors, my champions

In the garden this morning, I realized how easy it was to pull off the dead leaves on the plant or tree, but when I tried to pull off some of the leaves that appeared ready, there was a strong resistance to stay where they were.

This was such a good message for me today.

No matter what wrongdoings are going on in the outside world or in another person around me, I must remember that just because my leaves are ready to let go in my tree, does not mean that this is ready in the tree next to me.

And we cannot make the fruit of a tree ready to pick off just because we are.

The timing of this is not mine to resist or to fix.

  1. A potent reminder in these times. Keeping our focus on our own work is what will shift, ever slowly – with patience and time – humanity toward peace and reconciliation. 🙏🏻💜

  2. I have always been short on patience with myself but not others. My last name means “warrior”. I try to live up to this, taking on the world one day at a time.
