When we awaken and nurture the strong foundations of truth and authenticity within, we move freely with the winds of change. K Lang

A Taoist story tells of an old man who accidentally fell into the river rapids leading to a high and dangerous waterfall. Onlookers feared for his life. Miraculously, he came out alive and unharmed downstream at the bottom of the falls.
When they asked him how he managed to survive he said, “I accommodated myself to the water, not the water to me. Without thinking, I allowed myself to be shaped by it. Plunging into the swirl, I came out with the swirl. This is how I survived.”
Zen Stories
When I try to manipulate or control my outer circumstances, I become resistant to the flow of learning and growth. And so, I learned to awaken a strong foundation of trust, courage, and support within and this allowed me to be shaped and guided by the flow of life without fear.
Seems like an excellent formula, Karen! β€
And deep gratitude to the beautiful Sages and teachers who taught me! ππ»π€
Yes indeed, their wisdom is left in those waters to find. Great post dear lady, may we ever flow in its beauty π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦

Such sage advice, Karen. I will remember this as I deal with gardens and neighbors. ππ
May you continue to flow freely Carol ππ¦
”Β into the swirl, I came out with the swirl”. If only to execute accordingly.
Itβs simply a practice each day. It begins when we do. Thanks DK πππ»
Going with the flow of life. Love it π Thank you Karen for sharing your wisdom π
Thank you Val! Keep flowing π¦π§‘
That is exquisite wisdom of life indeed.
Thank you Pragalbha! You are a beautiful example of this too ππ»π€
You are welcome. You are so kind Karen _()_
Ah, yes. This one took me a while to learn. And going with the flow still sometimes feels like just giving up to me (remnants of my upbringing). But I’m coming to realize it’s about joy in the moments and saving precious energy for what is worth it. Thank you for more wise thoughts, Karen!
You make a good point about how surrendering and flowing with life can feel like βgiving upβ or βnot doing enough.β I felt like this for many years too. And I found a
balance by creating strong foundations of trust and knowing myself deeply.
There is joy in allowing life to move through us in its own time. Thanks Kristine. π₯°
Great message here, Karen π

Be kind to yourself as you work through all your fears and feelings. As I know you are. And Trust you are surrounded by angels and guides who love you deeply. ππ§‘
Karen,
Sometimes submitting to the flow is not the worst way to go.
Letting go requires trust.

It certainly does Alan. Thank you ππ»
The wisdom of the Dao is always inspiring, and so is your quote π
When we are comfortable with who we are, when we are our authentic self, “we move freely with the winds of change” and your quote matches the wisdom of this story. Wishing you a great weekend, Karen ~ take care.
Thank you Randall. May we all move freely with the changes of life ππ»π
