In order for our children’s children to evolve and create new ways of being, our generation must understand what has to end.

In my book Moving Moments I share that in all the cycles of life, it is stillness that teaches me the most about myself and what needs to be seen and changed.
Seeds do not germinate in the light like they do in darkness, because the light decomposes the carbon acid gas, expels the oxygen and fixes the carbon, and this hardens the seed and prevents growth.
A seed that does not spend time in darkness will never evolve.
It takes courage to turn within and to be alone with our feelings, however this is where our truth is found.
What I have learned is that unless I am willing to face my darkness, my fears, or my ancestral wounding, I unconsciously ignore my ability to expand. Over time, this hardens my heart and prevents growth and abundance being received.
More importantly, if I do not end what no longer serves me, or do not learn what expands me in this generation, then I am willingly passing this onto my children’s, children’s future.

Everything has it’s season. As with the seed, there is time in darkness and in light to complete the process of growth. And we too have our seasons: Whether in the springtime of life or our autumn years, we never stop growing until the harvest.
