“Don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.”
― Franz Kafka
How often have we told people what they want to hear, rather than speak our truth?
During the process of writing my second book, there were times where I was challenged by others to change or edit what I had written. Often this is based on their own fears, or that my truth was not in line with mainstream thinking.
Either way, it was difficult to face, and at times, I completely doubted myself. But each time I stepped out in courage and stood my ground, I awakened a deep power within me. A power to express my authentic voice and allow my truth to be seen.
Each of us holds this power within. Each of us has a unique perspective in life and the ability to speak our truth. It isn’t easy to be vulnerable, but for us to grow and expand into our freedom, we must step out in courage and in turn, we allow others to do the same.

indeed, signs of a new beginning, a personal rebirth for many, the chance to reset the dial hopefully, removing the chintz of the ego, replacing it with the word, community, and a standard, that is worth following and much much more, heavenly help for all those Samaritans too, amen…
Yes I can definitely feel this rebirth growing within and around me. It is indeed worth following. Thank you 🙏🏻 😊
thanks for the prompting, it’s so easy to give a gentle push, then the car starts, amen
Amen 😊
A truth does indeed encourage that one thing we struggle with…love…ours. Great post dear lady, may yours be ever free in that truth 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
Thanks Mark 🙏🏻
Very beautiful encouragement.
Thank you so much Nico 🙏🏻
Blessings.
Thanks you for this reminder, Karen. I also faced a similar situation when working on my second novel.
It’s not easy to stand in our truth at times, but it’s so important. Thanks Rosaliene 🙏🏻
Amen! ❤
👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰
Yes❣️ I hope your new book is coming along well! I’m looking forward to it 🙏💝
Thanks Val. Hopefully at the end of August 🙏🏻💚
Thank you Ivon. 🙏🏻
This speaks to me clearly. For the longest time I wasn’t aware how much I was wired for people-pleasing. I would use so much energy to perceive what they need to hear, and exactly deliver that. Life worked very well until it stopped working for me! I can see how crucial it is to practice speak my truth if I am ever to write a book or two! I have claimed my true voice quite well since I first became aware of my tendency, and still learning. Vulnerability is the courage ✨ Thank you for your post, it is so important to keep awakening to our authentic voice 💛
You share beautifully about what it is like to shut down our authentic truth and voice! I look forward to all the books you share one day with the world. Your voice and perspective in life is important and needs to be heard! 👏👏💚
