Expand

There’s no limit possible to the expansion of each one of us.

Charles M. Schwab

Often I teach people how to be still and ground their energy, but in order to balance our lives, we also need to expand our energy and open the gateway to our highest potential.

How do we do this? By visioning and opening our minds and learning how to expand out of our comfort zones.

In stillness, we tap into our wisdom and inner knowing, which is based on love and infinite possibilities, rather than on fear and scarcity.

One of the major reasons we distract ourselves from the gift of expansion and vision, is our insistence or perhaps our stubbornness, to only see what we expect, or what we want to see; rather than what is actually here.

A Meditation to Expand

Sit quietly inside or outside in nature

Take some slow deep breaths in and out

Relax your shoulders, relax your body

Close your eyes

Imagine you are a tree

A large old oak tree

Focus on the roots of this old oak tree and imagine these strong roots are the base of your spine running deeply down into Mother Earth

Feel this connection and strong foundation within you

Breathe deeply in this space

Now imagine your energy is moving up the tree

Imagine your body, your arms, your neck and head are lifting up to the top of the tree and out through the branches

Feel your energy move beyond the tree and into the sky, sun, stars and beyond

Stay here and feel this expansion in you

Breathe deeply

Take a few minutes to bring yourself back to this moment, in the room or outside

Open your eyes, note how you feel.

  1. Expanding I am dear lady. And a little journey tomorrow to put it in action at an open air, palm lined church. As the service goes on you can see over the priests shoulder across the lake. I shall ‘ground’ indeed in such a heavenly place πŸ˜€ ❀️ πŸ™πŸ½ πŸ¦‹

  2. A good exercise/meditation, Karen. One of my favorite things is to sit near the water and let its sounds soothe and carry my thoughts away. I like your idea of ‘thinking like a tree’! ❀️ πŸ™πŸ½

  3. A very helpful mindful moment Karen, yes fear and the fear of scarcity breeds a very negative energy, it is so powerful to equip a life with faith and courage to expand and grow out to be a blessing as birds rest and are nourished in their extended branches. Love it !
