Saw this video for the first time last night.

On December 14, 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, and shot 26 people, including 20 children, after also killing his mother in their home.

Let’s not forget these beautiful children and adults who tragically died in 2012, and the ripple effect it created around the world.

Let’s not give up on change.

  1. This video is a real punch to the gut, but if that’s what it takes to bring about change, so be it. Something has got to be done…we cannot continue to kick this can down the road at the expense of people’s lives.

  2. Karen, I really wish I hadn’t seen the continuation of that sweet moment of teddybaer and quote.
    And yet
    And yet
Life is hardly ever what we would like it to be.

  3. Karen…I saw a brief clip of the video on a news story and cannot bear to watch the entire thing. All of this is so disturbing to me at such a deep level, that I cannot even watch it. That my grandchildren have to participate in active shooter drills just so that some can claim financial and firepower primacy (while perpetuating fear), makes me so deeply sad. It is unconscionable. And yet, the courage of the Sandy Hook parents to put this out is hope…in action. May this country wake up to this and so many more fear based activities and institutions that seem to go undetected while many are asleep to the realities of true life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all.

    1. Yes that’s it Carrie, beautifully said. And if we don’t face it, see it all in its ugly, raw reality, like everything else in life, it won’t go away. Thank you Carrie 💚
