With all the changes going on in the world, it is important to remember that although we have no control over our outer-world, we always have control over our inner-world.
Sometimes in life it can seem like we are waiting – with patience, resignation, courage – and still, things around us don’t move or feel like they are flowing. When this is happening it provokes, therefore, a deep reflection about what we call “results” and gives us an opportunity to go within and connect to our feelings and thoughts.
Sometimes our destiny is manifesting itself in a way we are not able to fully comprehend, but it doesn’t mean we are on the wrong path and it doesn’t mean we won’t receive what we need.
Helen Keller decided early on in life, that she was not a victim of circumstance. She continually stepped out into the unknown and tested the boundaries of her potential and courage. We should all be grateful for people like her. They inspire us and remind us to never give up, and to know that when we find peace and calm within regardless of our outer-world, it will always be reflected back to us.
it is important to remember that although we have no control over our outer-world, we always have control over our inner-world. So profound Karen – thank you. ❤

Thankyou Diana! 💚
I needed the reminder Karen.
Bruce Lee said, “The usefulness of the cup is it’s emptiness.”
The only way I can be useful right now is by being empty!
Perfect! We all have to empty our cups through life. It’s a practice for sure. Thankyou Sawsan. 💕
Timely post, Karen! 🙂

Thankyou Irene 💚
Inspiration for these times Karen. 💛 Thank you!
When I think of Helen Keller, I also think of the people she had around her who loved her, supported and encouraged her.
Knowing we are not alone gives us comfort and courage. xo
Such an important reminder Val. Support and encouragement is what we all need. Thankyou 🙏🏻
Thank you Karen. Supporting each other through tough times is so helpful 💛
Great post, Karen. Good reminder for those of us still trying to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off after last Tuesday’s election. This post is very uplifting to me, as I try to get back into the big picture. Thank you.
Thankyou Mary! Seeing a bigger picture does help us move through difficult situations. 💚
As always, what wonderful words that speak to my heart. Going inward, yes, we all must be able to do that and sometimes it is a difficult task. Thank you for reminding me once again how to stay grounded on this journey!
Thankyou for always supporting my posts. I appreciate your thoughts as we all learn along this journey in life. 💕
“…she was not a victim of circumstance.” Many people feeling victimized and powerless at the moment. So very good to have this reminder that we may not be able to control the world around us, but we *can* decide how we choose to respond. One day at a time, that’s how I’m movin’ right now, and searching for the greater lesson in the tumult. Thx for lighting the path, Karen!!
It’s true Lori. Feeling powerless is scary, and so when we realise we have control over how we feel within, it creates a sense of confidence and hope and motivates us to keep going. Thankyou for your thoughts. 🙏🏻
Amen and hallelujah! A song of empowerment:).

Karen,
Your post is an accurate discourse on faith. A wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving from the U.S.A. We all are thankful for something; if simply life itself.

I remember as a child watching the Helen Keller story and I know I was inspired by her back then and still am today Karen. I love that quote.
She does inspire, and reminds me to be grateful for everything I do have! Thankyou
