Our life is the result of the choices we make. If we don’t like our life, then it’s time to start making better choices.
From the moment we wake up, we are making choices. Let’s remember we are all responsible for each decision we make. Even if those before us have made the wrong choices. Each day we have a new opportunity to choose differently.
I Chose
I chose.
I chose.
I chose to give away my love
I chose to have a broken heart
I chose to give up
I chose to hang on
I chose to react
I chose to feel insecure
I chose to feel anger
I chose to fight back
I chose to have hope
I chose to ignore my intuition
I chose to ignore advice
I chose to listen
However, we are not alone. Generations of women and men in our family have chosen. We have all chosen at one time in our lives. We stand behind you now screaming:
Choose to let go
Choose dignity
Choose to forgive yourself
Choose to forgive others
Choose to see your value
Choose to show the world you’re not a victim
Choose to make us proud
“Choose Love”
Shannon L Alder
I try each day to make good choices. I usually succeed. I tend to fail when it comes to my diet, however!
It is a daily conscious effort Emilie 💚
Great, thanks Karen.
Amen! ❤
Yes indeed! 💚
Yeah, I’m with Eliza. Amen! Choose Love!
Thanks Karen.
Peace. Love and compassionate self forgiveness

Yes to love ! 💜💜💜 thanks Mary
We need to love ourselves to choose the right way for us and all these choices should be taken by love to our world. Great post Karen 😀
Yes exactly Irene, well said. ❤️❤️❤️
Shannon your post is so inspiring. 🙂
Thankyou so much. Shannon Alder wrote this wonderful piece! I was inspired by it. 🙏🏻
Karen
Oh sorry!
You’re Karen?😃
Yes 😀
Hello Karen. 🙂
Nice to meet you. 😃
Choose love 💕 Love this post Karen.
Yes always 💜💚🙏🏻 thankyou Val
Wise words, very moving.
Thankyou Nico, blessings to you.
Peace.
The last choice covers them all.

I agree Alan. Thankyou.
Seeing through non judgemental eyes, listening through noise dampening ears and speaking with soft and mindful words helps create the positive choices we seek.
Thank you for sharing Ms. Alder’s words.
Thankyou Jonathan. It does help create positive choices.
The verses sound like freedom to me. In life, it’s always good to have options. 😉 My line of work isn’t exactly “me”. But, I really love that it is taking me to places which is “me”. Freedom, choices, options, they don’t come easy.
BTW, I chose to mention your blog so that I can have Eric Tonningsen’s book. 😉
Thanks Rommel! I hope you get a copy! 😀
I love your comment Rommel. When your job brings that to you, it’s a good place to be.
Wonderful post. We tend to be aware when we make good choices but forget that we also ‘choose’ to be in a less-than-happy mood.
Yes so true Elizabeth. It is a choice! ❤️💜
So true, Karen. But it is always not easy to accept – or remember. Thanks for the reminder ❤
I guess that’s why our ancestors are screaming Helen! 🙂
Great advice.
Thankyou 🙏🏻
Beautiful message yes we must be aware of the choices we make in a changing world.
So true. Thankyou 🙏🏻
I am becoming more aware of my daily choices Karen its about slowing my thoughts and words down and maybe not saying or reacting as quick as I do. But some days when autism challenges me I fall short. At least I get back up and try again.
I know, it’s doing the best you can each day and then starting again! Ground Hog Day! ha
Hopefully ground hog day on one of my good days Karen xx
💜
Lovely. Wish I could share this with a friend. She lost her mum months ago and she has not accepted she is in a better place. I am not intending to seem heartless. There are just some things you can not undo. Death when you are old is kinda one of them…….
It’s true watching friends or family suffer after death is hard but they do have a choice to heal and let go. You probably could share this as we never know, sometimes it may plant a seed for them. Thankyou Helen. 🙏🏻
