Resonance comes from the Latin word ‘Resonare’ meaning to ‘sound back.’
I heard someone say the other day that their word for the year was ‘Resonance.’ It is a beautiful word and because it has a deep impact on our daily life, I wanted to explore it further.
Visualise a metal bowl, sound bowl, or glass filled with water, and when this is rubbed or struck, the water and the container vibrate together, amplifying the sound which creates visible, dancing water patterns (cymatics). It’s beautiful to watch, but often we forget we are made up of sixty percent water and how we feel about ourselves and how we vibrate out into the world has a ripple effect.
Who or what do you resonate with? The Law of Resonance at its core, suggests that the frequency of our thoughts, emotions, and experiences has a magnetic quality, drawing in similar energies from the external world. In essence, the universe operates on the principle that ‘like attracts like.’
Or another word to use is ‘Mirroring’ which is the concept that the vibes, energy, actions and emotions I am projecting out into the world, acts like a boomerang. And so, if I do not like what the world is mirroring back to me, then it is me that needs to change within, not others.
The best way to do this is to create time for self-awareness and reflection each day and to become conscious of the thoughts and the feelings we are sharing with others.
When we resonate and align with with the fullness of life, we feel deeply connected and supported, and this is a gift that everyone deserves to feel and receive.
Amen Karen. And as strange as it might seem, I am very grateful for all those hard bits in my life…simply because it is those that asked me to be that change and align with the love waiting within me. Great post kind lady, may you too become that beauty within π€β€οΈπ
Beautiful Mark. It is through the challenges of life that we learn so much about who we are and how we are moving through life. ππ»π§‘πΏ
Indeed kind lady, almost making me love those stumbles too π€£β€οΈπ

so important to look at ourselves and adjust as needed
Absolutely Beth. So true. π§‘π§‘π§‘
I resonate so much with your words. Thereβs a Buddhist saying about βshoesβ and how we donβt wrap the whole world in leather to conform to our feet. Itβs wise to wrap the βleatherβ our own feet: much simpler too! I probably didnβt share that as well as I could have. Thatβs my own patience with myselfβ¦
Karen itβs a powerful reminder that we moving from the inside of ourselves and thatβs our orientation and through all that is what we see and interact with is fully mixed with what we are at any given moment. We can change! πππ Much love to you Karen!
Yes this is so true Ka. We are so busy accommodating the external world, we forget how our important our inner vibration and inner peace is. We can definitely change and heal. Much love to you too. π§‘π§‘π§‘
And more to your point, specifically: we can change and resonate with what are our actual values (as you said to set aside time for self reflection and gaining clarity)β¦ as this law of attraction and βlike attracting likeβ helps us to see through experience and experimentation. ππ
Yes Amen πππ§‘
I love this resonating and vibrating post, Karen πππ»β¨
Thank you Val! I like your vibe π§‘π©΅π§‘

This makes perfect sense! π
Thank you Eliza. ππ»π§‘ππ§‘
So wise and lovely, Karen. Thank you for sharing this. ππͺΆ
Thank you Carol. I appreciate your comment π§‘π§‘ππ»
I am reminded – by so much of what I read – of what I learned some time ago. The beauty of being reminded of something you learned sometime ago is you meet it again for the first time. I felt
this as I read your post, Karen. Thank you. ππ» π
Thatβs so beautiful Carrie and itβs true. Messages and signs arrive at the perfect time to remind us who we are. π§‘ππ»πΏπ§‘
This is beautiful and wonderful advice, Karen.
Thank you Michele. I always appreciate your comments.

This speaks to the power of singing with others. Thank you for this message. I have been wondering how to put into words the experience of group song nights and how singing each morning can change my day for the better.
Wishing you wellness,
Ali
I love that idea Ali! Singing is a beautiful way to connect and resonate with others and the universe! π΅ πΆ π§‘ππ§‘
I love this, Karen, especially the resonance to the simple image of water vibrating in a bowl. Itβs a clear reminder that what we give-off from within is mirrored back to us )as well as onto others. Being aware of this can help shape us, and importantly, to those around us. To become more conscious, resonant to the world is a great goal for this year π! Wishing you a beautiful March ahead, take care my friend β€οΈ.
Yes I totally agree Randall. To become conscious of our thoughts and beliefs and how we vibrate in the world is a wonderful goal. Thank you as always ππ»π§‘πΏ
