Learning to fly

Don’t hide your heart but reveal it, so that mine might be revealed too, and I might accept what l am capable of.

– Rumi

A yellow butterfly came across a gray haired caterpillar.

The caterpillar asked, “How did you become a butterfly?”

“You must want to fly so much, that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar,” said the butterfly.

“You mean to die?” asked the caterpillar.”

“Yes and No.  What you believe is you, what feels familiar and comfortable to you, will dissolve over time, but what’s really you, your true nature, the authentic you; will still live,” said the butterfly.
