SELF AWARENESS

5 Reasons why you Should Always be Yourself - Bon Vita

“Step into the fire of self-discovery. This fire will not burn you, it will only burn what you are not.”
― Mooji

A man came to see a counsellor.

The counsellor asked, ‘How can I help you today?’

‘Well’, replied the man. Last month I discovered that I am Buddha.’

However, when I tell others that I am Buddha, they judge me, they dismiss me, or they laugh at me.

But when ‘I am’ Buddha, everyone loves me and wants to be with me.

The counsellor replied, ‘When you know who you are, there is no need to convince another who you are.’

Simply ‘be’ that which you are and life will flow through you.

  1. The post made me laugh because it is so what we do during our awakening, we are excited to tell others about our discoveries but indeed they can laugh at us! Eventually we realise we must practice being the change and yes then life comes to us❤️ A wonderful post karen, Thankyou for being the change and shining your light, inspiring us all❤️💃🏼🕺 May 2022 bring in more and more magic you and everyone who dares dream of real change❤️much love, Barbara x

  2. So true, Karen! It brought to mind an incident with a neighbor during my first year in Brazil. As I struggled to chat with the woman, she told me to stop pretending to be a foreigner to impress others.

  3. Such simple, wise advice, Karen, but so hard for me to remember and live by in the moment. Thank you for sharing your hard-won wisdom and compassion. Wishing you a wonderful new year. 💜

  4. Ooh–“it will only burn what you are not.” You’ve given me a meaty thought to chew on today, Karen:). Thank you! I’ll be pondering this one for a bit.

  5. I loved this idea: ‘When you know who you are, there is no need to convince another who you are. Simply ‘be’ that which you are and life will flow through you.” This is wonderful advice. Have a beautiful day!
