Never get tired of doing little things for others, sometimes those little things occupy the biggest parts of their hearts – Unknown

A Christmas story..
When I was little, my grandpa had cancer. He and my grandma were exhausted from all the treatments and emotions over the previous months, and so decided not to make the two-hour drive to have Christmas with the rest of the family. So my mom arranged for us to drive to their home without them knowing and when we arrived, we all stood outside their home singing Christmas carols to surprise them.
I’ll never forget the look on my grandma’s face when she drew back the curtains to see what was going on outside — it makes me tear up just to think about how excited she was. My grandpa died a month later, but my grandma has always said how grateful she was that we didn’t forget about him on what ended up being his last Christmas.

Sometimes the best gifts we can give each other at Christmas is our time. The story above reminded me to be more thoughtful and considerate when it comes to giving this year. Often we can get caught up spending far too much at christmas, when deep down, we all love receiving gifts from the heart.
I also wanted to take this time to thank all my beautiful readers who have contributed to my blog this year. Thankyou for taking the time to share your thoughts and views on my posts, thankyou for your support. Thankyou to the wonderful bloggers that I follow as well. Thankyou for inspiring me and for creating space for me to laugh, learn and be present each day. I wish you all a peaceful, warm christmas and I look forward to connecting with you all in the New Year. Namaste!
You, dear Karen, are the embodiment of the law of attraction. YOU create a space where all feel welcome to laugh, love and share in this Merry-go-round we call life, and thus you reap what you sow. Sending you all the blessings of the season, and ever so much love….

What a sweet memory. Your story reminds me that singing Christmas carols to people at nursing homes or to those who don’t get out much, has been one of the most meaningful and enriching experiences of my life.
Yes that is so true Joanna. Many people, especially the elderly feel alone at Christmas and really want connection. 💕

So late to this one Karen but love the story. Christmas is a time to be thankful that we are able to come together once more because you never know if you will make it to the next year. There are no guarantees and so we must live for the now.
It’s true we don’t know, and you and I understand that more than most. Christmas is a special time for us all. Thanks Kath ❤️
