“No person, trying to take responsibility for their identity and suffering, should have to be alone. There must be those among whom we can sit down and weep, and still be counted as warriors.”
― Adrienne Rich, Sources.

Over time, I have discovered that many of the challenges I have faced in life have often been self-imposed, unconsciously or consciously. Being human has this effect on us!

It was only when I began a practice of stillness each day, that I was able to really see and feel how quickly my mind pulled me away from my truth and the essence of my authentic nature, and how invested I was in the stories and beliefs I had about myself.

And yet, none of this would have been possible without the support, love, and encouragement of those who knew this path, and the support and love I received, was from being vulnerable and honest about what I needed and what I was struggling with at the time. It was in the space of presence with each other, that we saw a way through.

Our purpose here is not to become a perfect person, even if we think it’s possible! but rather, to discover and support our true nature and express that freely in the world.

The greatest gift we can offer ourselves and in turn, each other is firstly, accepting where we are in this moment, and secondly, constantly seeing beyond the old stories and identities and learning to ‘be’ the expansive energy we already are.

  1. Love this wisdom from the heart. We are not alone. Others are on the journey with us. Let us be open to receive the love and support of others. Letting go of being strong and opening up to others is such a powerful experience for our ultimate well being. 💐🙏🏻🥰

    1. Absolutely the truth Val.
When we do this for ourselves first, we naturally offer this support for another. Thank you for being on this beautiful journey of discovery too! 🙏🏻💕🥰

  2. It is amazing those masks we wrap ourselves in, that in time only show the mummy that we were. The real gold is in that acceptance of what we truly are, and those angels around us willing to dare to speak a truth, so that we can find us. A beautiful post Karen, that support is indeed something wondrous 😀❤️🙏

  3. Beautiful truth, Karen. You are a living example of what you write here. Your vulnerability, expressed in and through what you write here (as well as your book from a few years ago) has opened many of us to what is real and possible in our growth and evolution on our journeys here. I’m deeply grateful for what you have shared over the years, across the miles. 💜🙏🏻

  4. Karen, if feels so good to not be alone. It also feels amazing to have the awakening continue to show us our oneness! There’s the whole realization about how we weave together and inspire one another into deeper clarity and more awareness. What a gift 🎁
