True Meaning

“When we search for the meaning of life, remember this:  Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.”  – Joseph Campbell

As we enter into the busy part of the year and move through the crazy cycle of buying too much, stressing too much and eating and drinking too much…stop, pause and breathe when you can.

Remember to reflect on what the true meaning of this time means and prepare, as we begin the New Year and all that it holds for us.

Remember to be grateful for all that you have been given this year and the gift that our children bring us.

Remember to be thankful for the health of you and your family and be supportive to those who have not.

Remember to be grateful for the immense abundance that we have and to share it where you can.

Remember to be thankful to those who have supported you and your goals this year.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.

Accept the decisions you have made and then let them go.

Love and be grateful to those around you.

Believe everything happens for a reason.

If you get a second chance grab it. If it changes your life, let it.

Nobody said life would be easy. They just promised it would be worth it.

The Good Life

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”   – Brene Brown

How often do we label our life as “Easy” or “Difficult”?  How often do we define the way we are feeling with what is happening in our life right now?  It always comes down to this, either we allow life and everything that it presents, or we resist it.

When we resist life and resist what is happening to us with thoughts and actions to change or control it differently,  we stop the flow of abundance and the answers that help us accept the situation.

Our mind keeps us imprisoned and convinces us it is keeping us safe, when infact, if we step out of these conditioned thoughts and into the unknown of life each day, we become in sync with the flow.

Life is what it is and when we are able to stop attaching our illusions and emotions to this reality, we may just find that we can see life as perfect right now and that it is only our attitude towards this moment that makes it difficult.

Our minds are powerful tools that can take years off our life because we refuse to see what it is right in front of us.  Becoming aware and awake of how we make our lives challenging and how we block the flow is the answer to allowing life to happen as it should.

We are creating the obstacles not anyone else.  Our thoughts and choices are our own and create the world we live in right now.  When you live believing that another situation in the future will be what makes you happy or content, you will be sadly disappointed.  You need to find it in your life now, and realise your life could not be more perfect, that there is no other place you should be but here.

Focus on relieving your mind of this clutter and busyness and as you let go and surrender, you will find you will  receive what you need in the perfect time.

“…and that visibility which makes us most vulnerable is that which also is the source of our greatest strength.”  Audre Lorde

Our Greatest Fear

“Never forget the amazing power you have within you.  Never underestimate  the power you have to create the life you wish for.”

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous and talented and fabulous?”

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.  Your playing small does not serve the world.  There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; …….it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,

Our Presence automatically liberates others. – Marianne Williamson

“Be all that you can be….and more.”

Ability to Respond

“How we respond to each and every circumstance in life, whether it is good or bad will determine a negative or positive future.”

The ability to respond to the Present is to seek the beauty of every moment that we are given.  Using our gifts, talents and abilities for the greatest good of all seems like a huge task and yet when we break it down to what we can do right in this moment, we find it isn’t as daunting as we once thought.

The ability to respond to the Future lies in understanding and living in the present.  When we understand that our thoughts and actions everyday affect the survival and well-being of the next seven generations to come, we begin to realise the importance of everything we do and say and know we are not the only ones to consider in the decision process.

Every thought and feeling affects our life and those around us. We are the example and the role model to our children and to society in how we act and treat others and ourselves.

If we wish to influence the future, we need to respond now.  We can longer put off those decisions or changes we need to make, due to laziness or apathy.  We all have the courage and the ability to make these changes if we want and when we take time to practice being still and silent, you will receive the answers and the strength you need.

“If we give our life as a wholehearted response to love, then love will wholeheartedly respond to you.”

The buck stops with us.  How your life unfolds in the future is a ripple effect of the decisions you make today.  Take time to work out how you can be the change you wish to see in the world and in your own life and know that your hard work and the time you give to those changes will be worth it.

“Life….It responds to our outlook and thoughts and shapes itself to meet our expectations.”

Separation

“The future depends on what you do today.”   – Mahatma Gandhi

When we feel lonely, fearful  or disconnected, it is because we have become separated from the oneness of life and from ourselves.

The longer we abandon ourselves and ignore the messages of the heart, the lonelier we become.  We try to find this connection by looking outwardly or by distracting ourselves from our pain and the truth that faces us.

The more we run from this moment of pain or difficulty the more we separate ourselves from the healing energy of love and acceptance that leads us to what we need.

We are currently looking to buy a home and the timing of us moving out of our existing home is not in sync with buying and so we now need to rent.  This of course doesn’t seem like a big problem but it can be when I start looking too far in the future and allow worry and fear to set in.

When I stray from working in the present moment and all that it has for me, I lose sight and get caught in the illusion of doubt which leads me to make decisions based on fear.

When I stay connected to this moment, I remember that I can trust in a process that comes to me rather than me chasing it.  When I feel the abundance and love in this moment I know I have everything I need right now, the rest comes to me in perfect timing.

There is nothing easy about this practice and yet the alternative is fear, doubt and stress. Become still in your doubt, become still in your pain and accept it exactly as it is today.  Do not fight or resist this pain or it will continue to stay with you until you let go and allow.

“All that is important is this one moment in movement. Make the moment important, vital, and worth living. Do not let it slip away unnoticed and unused.”   – Martha Graham
