‘Inside every seed is the potential for an incredible harvest.’ Farrah Gray
My husband planted some tomato, zucchini and basil seeds a few weeks ago and has been nurturing them each day, but after 10 days, no seedlings had sprouted.
We understood that not all seeds are viable, but he continued to nurture them and just when he was about to buy some more seeds, 5 seedlings sprouted from the soil.
I love this story because often I have been impatient for results to manifest in myself, in work, or in others throughout life and then I would feel that my efforts were wasted.
However, when I learned to step back, relax and let life move and grow in its own timing, I discovered that just because I could not see growth or the fruit emerge, did not mean it was not happening.
Rather, it was simply hidden and emerged beautifully in the perfect time.
Yes I love this story, too. It’s the perfect way to describe this phenomenon! What is unseen is working for us! The developments might be hidden and may emerge on its own time schedule. 🙂
A lovely reminder to ‘wait’ for it! Also, it’s a reminder to be ready to take action when needed to adjust to the circumstances and try again.
Absolutely agree! Like nature, being intuitive and aware when to move and when to be still is the balance of success and growth! Thanks Ka 💕🧡
Impatient? Me? 🤣 This journey does teach us that patience kind lady…but just sometimes we have an un-scratchable itch. Great post, may your growth have much patience too 😀❤️🙏
Yes it’s true Mark, and all we need to understand is if the itch is coming from ego -mind or heart? ha! 😊
Ah…so where does chocolate come in those three? 🤣
Patience is a virtue, for sure. 🙂
Amen Eliza 🧡💕
It’s so true, Karen. Everything is on its own timeline. We moved two rose bushes, and one is happy in its new home, and the other is struggling. But I know the transfer wasn’t as easy for it–in fact, it was traumatized, I am sure. I think my husband wants to pull it up and plant something else, but I know to give it a chance. Some of us just take a little longer.
Your story is a beautiful example of this post Michele. We all walk this journey uniquely and according to our own timeline. I agree, be patient with the Rose bush, it may just need more time before it blossoms again. 🌹🌷🌹
And lots of extra love. Thank you, Karen.
Karen, thank you for this lovely and important story. A reminder that everything and indeed, everyone grows, changes, or otherwise evolves in a time known only to and by them. That “clock” is really
not even known to or by them. It all happens as it does and as it will. I appreciate your making this more visible in this moment. Patience is something that is often a challenge for most of us if we are honest. This shows the gift inherent in the process for sure. 🙏🏻💜🌱
I agree Carrie. I don’t think we are meant to know the timing. Surrendering and trusting in this process, as you say, is the gift for us all. Thank you 💕🧡
True 🙂
Thank you 🙏🏻🧡
One thing I have also found as I get older is I have less patience for many things ~ but overall, I have become more patient, and I wonder if it is because of the message you share at the end of your post: “I discovered that just because I could not see growth or the fruit emerge, did not mean it was not happening.”
Totally agree! One of the benefits of being older 😉
Thank you Randall
