“It isn’t by getting out of the world that we become enlightened, but by getting into the world…by getting so tuned in that we can ride the waves of our existence and never get tossed because we become the waves.” – Ken Kesey
It may seem serious and arduous to walk an enlightened path, however, when we apply simply guidelines and practice to our everyday life, every effort no matter how small, will make a difference in your overall view on life.
Overtime, this will help you release yourself from negative thoughts and selfish actions and help you find freedom and connection to the universal flow.
When we are stressed and overloaded, we become foggy and unfocused and this is when we make the wrong decisions and react in the wrong way. When we are in this state of mind, it is exactly when we need to stop and re-connect to the source of energy around us and yes, this requires an effort.
“Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.” – John Lubbock
The more you allow the mind to simply process thought, like a child reviewing the day’s activities, the more you have the opportunity to guide the mind to slow down and stop the constant chatter or negative thought patterns from taking over.
Through a practice of meditation and time to connect with nature, learn to develop awareness of your body, your thoughts and your environment. It is the most effective way to access the vibration of the mind that is beyond thought.
This regular practice will give you clarity and will allow you to tune into others and their needs. It will give you a better view and understanding of your present situation and guide you to make the right decisions.
“Enlightenment is the ego’s ultimate disappointment.” – Chogyam Trumpa
The road at times seems long and difficult and yet, if we view life in a series of steps towards our dream instead of one big long road, you may find you arrive at your destination way ahead of schedule and receive exactly what you need.
