“Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love.
We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us.
The world changes when we change. the world softens when we soften.
The world loves us when we choose to love the world.”
―
“In the myth of the Buddha’s enlightenment, Buddha is faced with many temptations by the demon Mara. Her final temptation to the Buddha was that of doubt.
Mara challenged the Buddha, “Who do you think you are to sit on the earth and become enlightened?”
She taunted him again and again, so she could find his hidden fears and doubts, and use it against him.
But instead, the Buddha placed his hands on the ground and called on Gaia the Goddess of the Earth, the feminine, the Divine; and the Goddess felt his deep surrender and his heart soften, and in return for the Buddha’s work and virtue, the goddess let loose a flood that swept away the armies of the demon Mara, allowing the Buddha to sit and become enlightened.”
What this story teaches us, is that when we are in a place of challenge and attack, our first reaction is to shut down, defend and protect.
This is a normal reaction to danger in our life and is embedded in our DNA.
Notice how the Corona virus is taunting us and challenging our beliefs. Notice how it is revealing our fears, our doubts, and our vulnerability.
However, instead of attacking this challenge, we need to do the opposite. We need to soften and surrender. Ask for support, and allow, like Buddha did.
We need to let go of our belief to fight this virus, to fight each other to survive, to fight for what is rightfully ours.
This is the time for the feminine to arise within us. To soften our mind, body and spirit. To surrender to it all and allow our needs to be seen and attended to.
This is the time to see ourselves deeply and each other, and in doing so, we will have our needs met.
In this space, trust you will be supported.
In this space, we will heal.
Really beautiful.
Thank you Nico 🙏🏻🌈
